On those highly productive days, getting up early will keep you on track and it will also force you to get started earlier on your to-do list. Tomorrow try to wake up an hour or so earlier then you would normally get up and see how you zoom through your tasks.
2. Visualize Your Day – What is it you want to occur today? What would put you in a great mood when the day ends? Plan out what your perfect day will be starting with morning through to lunch, right through to the evening. When you visualize you will be amazed at just how much more you are able to squeeze into your day.
3. Write It Down – Make a to-do list. By articulating your ideas and what you are aiming to achieve, you turn them into something you can visually see and hold on to. Map out everything that you visualized earlier, along with all your tasks for the day. It offers a feeling of finality when you complete each of the tasks on the list.
4. Chunk Down – Every project starts with a single step or phase. By breaking your large projects into smaller bite-sized pieces, you can get some perspective and things become much easier to manage.
5. Develop Routines - Routines make it easier to stay productive and on track throughout life not just at work. But this only works if you stick to it. It takes about 30 days to develop a new habit, so the sooner you start the sooner your routine will become second nature.
6. Don’t Overthink – “Just do it,” said Nike. The more time you spend thinking about something the more time you eat up and don’t get anything done. So stop procrastinating. Instead be proactive, start something and you’ll soon be making some progress.
7. Exercise – Even if it’s only 15 minutes, working out will help you stay alert, feel more positive and increase your energy levels. Exercise can help you feel stronger both physically and mentally, and you’ll find you get more done in far less time.
